Our Medicine Summer Programmes have been developed by experts within the field to offer students a fully immersive experience of working as a doctor.
Available online and as 1- or 2-week residential programmes at Imperial College, London.
Explore a broad range of concepts including physiology and clinical medicine. With a focus on the gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological systems, you will explore how the body is meant to be working and what can go wrong.
As well as exploring gold standard techniques, there will be valuable insights into the worlds of surgery and medical ethics. Students will also be given the opportunity to work alongside medical professionals using state-of-the-art medical school facilities in a hospital simulation.
Using the knowledge developed over the course of programme, students will then work as part of a dynamic team to create a medical solution for a business that will be pitched to a panel of medical professionals.

Our Team
Dr Ahmed is an academic general surgery registrar. He has extensive experience in undergraduate medical education having founded MedSaint, a medical journal, whilst studying at St Andrews University. Whilst at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital in London, he designed peer assisted simulated patient clinical vivas.

Practical aspects
I enjoyed the practical aspects of the programme especially the removing of pus from an abscess! Moreover, I was able to hone my prior medical knowledge and expand more in depth.

The lessons overall were very insightful, and learned so much about finance in general. Have a much clearer perspective in this area that I might want to work in the future.
