Computer Science – Online Research Programme

Price: £2,500

This 15-hour mentoring programme, available year-round and suitable for students aged 13-18, introduces you to cutting-edge research in computer science, whether you’re passionate about AI, algorithms, or cybersecurity.

Work with a mentor to develop an original research project through 10 hours of one-on-one mentoring, and attend 5 hours of structured classes focused on academic writing, document reviews, and research techniques. You will have the opportunity to submit your work to journals such as the STEM Fellowship Journal. The programme concludes with an assessment for potential UCAS points.

Sara is a highly accomplished pHD candidate in her final year of study, focusing on the instruments aboard the ExoMars 2022 Rosalind Franklin Rover to understand the interaction between light and matter on the surface of Mars. She aims to identify areas that may contain evidence of life and is developing software tools for data analysis.

Publishing Opportunities

Research projets can be submitted to relevant student-friendly journals (e.g. Journal of Emerging Investigators, Young Scientists Journal, Psychology Review, STEM Fellowship Journal etc.)

All nights on Imperial College campus. Standard Twin Ensuite Room shared with another ProEd pupil of same age and gender.

Optional upgrade to single room available. Can be added at point of booking.

Optional lunch vouchers can be booked for students attending all residential programmes. Can be added at point of booking.

On-campus cafes and restaurants are available. However, they only accept payment cards and do not accept cash.

Course relevant day in industry includes all travel expenses.
