English Language requirements

All ProEd programmes are delivered in English and all written materials and assignments are in English.

We do not formally stipulate a minimum English Language proficiency level or qualification for students enrolling on the programme. However, as the programme is technical in nature, we recommend that students should be at intermediate level or above. If you are unsure whether your English ability is suitable for the programme, we can offer virtual interviews and/or an English placement test (a small administrative fee is chargeable for these).

For ‘closed groups’ of students (students from one region who enrol as a group) whose main language is not English, or whose English proficiency is below the appropriate level, we can build into the timetable an element of English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Typically, each technical session is preceded by an ESP session that covers the relevant specialist vocabulary and skills that students will need.

Please contact us if you wish to discuss your English Language requirements in detail.
